Welcome to St. Rita School

Office Hours Beginning August 18: Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Welcome to the Internet home of St. Rita Catholic School. Located in Fairfax, California, St. Rita School has provided a values-based education to the children of Marin County for more than fifty years. This mission continues – and further broadens – as the school embarks on a new journey: The implementation of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program and the Middle School Engineering Program to begin the 2014-15 school year.

The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program - guides students to think more critically, more independently, and more creatively. Students learn to make connections between the different subjects they learn, and how to apply their skills to solve real world problems. They are guided to care more about the people around them and to see and appreciate their commonalities and differences.

The Middle School Engineering Program - is designed to challenge and engage the natural curiosity and imagination of middle school students. The knowledge that students gain and the skills they build from the program create a strong foundation for further STEM learning in high school and beyond.

At the heart of St. Rita is the belief that academic and social development is not complete unless we also address the spiritual needs of each child. Through our values-based program of learning, we teach students to care for each other and the world around them. They explore their own faith as well as the beliefs of others. And most importantly, they learn to respect other religions and points of view that may be different from their own. Our inclusive environment welcomes all faiths and challenges children (and parents) to broaden their view of the world.

I encourage you to visit our school and experience our unique learning community.

Sincerely,

Mr. Black, Principal
